“Movement never lies” (Martha Graham)
Through the act of collecting, re-editing and performing a wide range of lifts from Graham’s works, we attempt to follow an archaic, archival, architectural inter-gender dynamic. Into Martha’s maze is into my own. I question my ability and need to lean, be held, give weight, and the relationship between the mythical and the present.
